A sealed reference standard for the dose calibrator, well counter and QA workflows in your hot lab
Daily reference measurement to verify dose calibrator response is stable from one day to the next. The EVial geometry matches the clinical vial so the constancy reading is directly comparable to a patient-dose measurement.
Annual accuracy testing — measured activity must match the source certificate within ±10%. NIST traceability supports the result at AERB inspection and NABH accreditation.
Use of long-lived isotope sources for linearity testing where decay linearity is impractical. Verifies dose calibrator response across the clinical activity range.
EVial geometry is suitable for well-counter sample QA, providing a stable, sealed reference for energy-channel calibration and counting efficiency verification.
For multi-centre programmes, a common EVial reference source supplied across sites produces inter-laboratory consistency in dose calibrator readings.
When adding a new clinical isotope to the dispensing programme, an EVial reference source helps establish the dose calibrator geometry / calibration factor for the new radionuclide.
The EVial epoxy matrix is permanently sealed inside the polyethylene vial. There is no liquid, no leakage path and no settling — the source maintains its calibrated geometry across years of routine handling.
AERB sealed-source import licensing and facility-registration documentation supplied with the source — the radiation-safety officer receives a complete dossier for the licensing file rather than having to assemble it.
When the source is no longer needed, the Saxsons source return service handles AERB-compliant return and disposal logistics. The radiation-safety officer does not need to find a separate disposal vendor at decay-out.
